Safety Data Sheet

This dramatically different adjuvant is cereal based (not oil based) and can be mixed with any pesticide to improved rain-fastness and herbicide delivery, resulting in increased efficacy and less pesticide use. Reduced frequency of application saves you money while improving weed control or crop performance.

Adjuvants are tank additives that a grower or applicator uses to maximise treatments of pesticide applications. The old technology usually uses synthetic or petroleum based oils, which penetrate and seal the plant surface, causing injury to crops.

This new Technology features TopFilm™, an adjuvant made from natural patented grain materials called Biocar^®, which are microsponges that absorb the pesticides and offer coating properties to protect the application and improve pesticide delivery.  Biocar^® is patented under US Patent # 5,888,500 and European Patent #PCT/US97/17605.

TopFilm™ is a suspo-emulsion (SE) of Biocar^®  that absorbs the active ingredient during the tank mixing and deposits a natural film of microsponges that stick the treatment to the leaf surface, flower or fruit during spraying. The natural film dries within 10 - 30 minutes and promotes rain-fastness, completely stopping wash off of the product by rain or irrigation. 

The layer of sponges absorb the pesticide and release it slowly into the plant increasing the efficacy of all treatments.

Herbicides

The application rate of TopFilm™is 300 - 1200 mL per hectare.  Suitable for control of alien invasive species such as  Fallopia japonica (Japanese Knotweed), Impatiens glandulifera (Himalayan Balsam) and Heracleum mantegazzianum (Giant Hogweed),  TopFilm™ can be mixed with any herbicide at the recommended rate for rain fastness, improved efficacy.  Click here for reference
 

Fertilisers

Liquid fertilisers and micronutrients designed for foliar uptake give increased crop yield when applied with TopFilm™ as there is prolonged slow release and uptake of both types of nutrient. 

Fungicides and Insecticides

TopFilm™ is used with insecticides, fungicides and fertilizer/micronutrient applications, because it does not cause phytotoxicity in delicate plants (orchids, hibiscus, passion fruit flower.). The Biocar formulation does not dissolve any plant leaf waxes like other surfactants, ensuring optimum growing conditions during and after treatment.  This improves the efficiency of treatment.  Click here for reference.

Aquatic Treatments

800 - 1200 mL / Ha  TopFilm with  5 or 6 L Roundup Pro Biactive per hectare, see herbicides above for appropriate target species...Hydrocotyle ranunculoides (Floating Pennywort), Myriophyllum aquaticum  ( Parrot's Feather), Potamogeton natans (Broad leaved pondweed), reeds and rushes, Nymphoides peltata (Fringed water lily) and most other species where herbicide wash-off is a problem.   Click here for reference
